*Talking with God*

Talking with God in prayer is so peaceful and comforting. Something that I have found helpful to me is making sure that I am making the TIME for Him. Sometimes this life gets so busy and we get caught up in the motions of everything and everyone around us and then before we know it, we realize that we haven't given God the time we should be giving Him. Or, we find ourselves only going to Him when times get hard and want Him to answer a prayer. I have been guilty of that. There was a season in my life when times were hectic and I was so busy. I let these circumstances distract me. I would still pray, but only before I ate and before bed. I wasn't genuine about it during this season of my life. But if something went wrong, that's when I would go to God asking for help. I finally acknowledged that I wasn't being faithful to Him in my prayer life. I went to Him asking forgiveness, realizing that I would be heartbroken if someone I loved, only came to me when it was convenient for them. I couldn't believe that I let myself get so distracted. No wonder my life was a hectic mess! I realized how much I missed my Heavenly Father; and how much I enjoyed those conversations with Him during my morning coffee, or in the car on my drive home.  I remembered the joy I felt from going to Him just to thank Him for my blessings. I missed that peace. So, I decided right then and there, that I was going to make the time for Him and be faithful in my prayer life. That right there was life-changing for me.

God loves us so very much and is always faithful. We should desire in our hearts to show Him the same love and faithfulness in return. Evermore respecting, worshiping, and honoring Him. He is a wonderful Father.
