Know Your Enemy!

Satan is very real! This is something that we MUST understand. He is known by many names including, the Devil, Lucifer, the evil one, the THIEF, our adversary, the serpent, the father of LIES, and more.  He likes to disguise himself, in many ways, especially as temptation. He is very sneaky and very cunning. The bible says that Hell was created for the Devil and HIS ANGELS. Evil is very real!

Below you will find a few bible verses about the Devil. I will also share what God has shown me about him. Please take heed to this knowledge of truth! Walking with Jesus and spending time in your Bible will help you gain DISCERNMENT. DISCERNMENT helps us recognize when we are under enemy attack. This helps us stand against the Devil.

Verses:

-"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary THE DEVIL, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour"

1st Peter chapter 5 verse 8

Ephesians chapter 6 verse 12

-"But the Lord is faithful, who shall establish you, and keep you from EVIL."

2nd Thessalonians chapter 3 verse 3

These are just a handful of verses about our enemy. There is so much more in our Bible about him! It is so important to know how our enemy works! I will be blog-posting about what God has shown me, through His word, about Satan; and I will share how to stand strong against him with the ARMOUR OF GOD!!! The WORD of GOD is your SWORD! We will be taking an in-depth look at the full armour of God. Be prepared, be READY for when he comes to attack. *Remember, he is very cunning, and will try his best to deceive you and get you to believe lies, but you can overcome this! Have the victory in Jesus!

These tips help me and I know they will help you too!

-Acknowledge the fact that we do indeed have an enemy! Spiritual warfare is real!

-Satan's number one tactic is to DISTRACT YOU! ALWAYS REMEMBER THIS AND REMIND YOURSELF OF THIS!

-Remember that conflicts in our life are actually not with PEOPLE, but with Satan and his evil spirits. *Remember, he USES situations, feelings, people, conflict, and DISTRACTION, to try to make us stumble*

-Try to memorize the verses above if you can, and repeat them to yourself during the day. ESPECIALLY the hard days!

-WRITE THEM DOWN. Meditate on these verses of scripture. Don't give up! You can do this!

-The WORD of God is your sword! All of the verses of scripture in your Bible that are of help to you, DWELL on those. Quote them aloud and rebuke your enemy. Remember, you are a soldier in the Lord's army. Fight the good fight of faith!

It is SO important to know HOW OUR ENEMY OPERATES AND THINKS! This helps us see him coming and defeat his attacks! Notice this verse of scripture in the Bible:

"BEHOLD, I SEND YOU FORTH AS SHEEP IN THE MIDST OF WOLVES: BE YE THEREFORE WISE AS SERPENTS, AND HARMLESS AS DOVES."
(Matthew chapter 10, verse 16)
